Wondering from sunrise to sun set
I can never know where to turn to rest
even though my mind is active all day through
I can never shake my memories of you
the smile on your face, the glow in you eyes
the moments we shared in the yesterdays
are becoming so painful to remember
I can’t get you off my mind since that day
when all that could be was shattered
the dreams lead me on through the days
the hope for something better through the nights
onward I trudge, fighting for every step I take

lost in the darkness, without a friend in sight
wanting to feel the warmth of your hand
Only to feel the cold touch of stone
the night begrudgingly gives up its control to day
looking around me I am terrified
faced with what has caused me all my trouble
I see where you now sleep forever-more
how I long to be with you
wrapped in warmth
I wish it was all just a dream
horrid and twisted but not true
for me or you
